We met up in the late 70s in a disco in Central Illinois, of all places. Our journey in life has taken us through careers in commercial diving, home building, and medical transcription. We’ve lived in Louisiana and Texas, and in Oregon for the last 40 years, 32 years in the Portland area, and 8 so far in Wallowa County, Northeast Oregon. John spent his free time running whitewater rivers, flying, fishing and assorted other adventures. Throughout, he has enjoyed photography which has become more focused in the last few years. Mary was an avid rock climber in her youth and accompanied John on many river adventures, including the Grand Canyon a few times. In retirement, Mary has begun exploring ceramics, fabric art, and other crafts. While the focus of our art is mainly for personal pleasure, Mary’s art work is available for purchase, as well as John’s photos.
